Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

• Account details — name, email address and profile photo shared by Google when you sign in, plus a phone number and profession if you add them.
• Content you create — tasks, categories, calendar entries, focus sessions, brain dumps, habits, energy check-ins, journals, gratitude notes, manifestation goals and daily wins.
• Community & programme data — the communities you belong to, challenges you join, points earned and leaderboard standing.
• Billing data — plan, order and payment status returned by our payment gateway. Card and bank details are handled entirely by the gateway and never reach our servers.
• Technical data — device/browser information, push-notification tokens and basic error logs needed to keep the app working.

2. How we use your information

• To provide the app: saving your data, syncing it across devices and showing your dashboard, calendar and progress.
• To operate subscriptions, invoices and free or invited access.
• To send reminders, challenge updates and admin announcements you have enabled.
• To send occasional product and community emails, which you can unsubscribe from at any time.
• To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.

We never sell your personal data, and we do not use your journals, reflections or task content for advertising.

3. Service providers

We share the minimum data required with providers who help us run Being Yes: our cloud hosting and database provider (account and app data), Google (sign-in), our payment gateway (name, email, phone and order details) and our email platform (name, email, phone and plan). Each processes data on our instructions under their own security commitments.

4. Community visibility

If you join a community, its admins and managers can see your name, email, plan status and aggregate progress such as streaks, points and challenge participation. Your journal entries, gratitude notes and brain dumps remain private to you.

5. Storage and security

Data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest. Access is protected by row-level security rules so each account can reach only its own records. No online service can promise absolute security, so please use a well-protected Google account.

6. Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account we remove your personal data and content within 30 days, except records we must keep for tax, accounting or legal reasons.

7. Your rights and choices

• Access, correct or delete any entry directly in the app.
• Update your profile details in Settings.
• Turn reminders and push notifications on or off at any time.
• Request a copy of your data or full account deletion by emailing us.

8. Children

Being Yes is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Cookies and local storage

We use only essential cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences such as your active community. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make a material change we will update this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
